SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Bijou Community School (Bijou) is planning for the next school year and what it holds for the Bijou TK and Kindergarten programs. If you have a student starting TK or Kindergarten in the 2026-27 school year and are interested in participating in the Bijou Two-Way Bilingual Immersion (TWBI) program, stop by the Bijou office and fill out a commitment form. Interested parents must return completed forms by Friday, Feb. 13, at 3 p.m.
If your child is already enrolled in the TWBI program and has siblings who will be entering the program in the fall as TK students or kindergarteners, please complete and submit a commitment form as well. Forms are available online at bijou.ltusd.org or at Bijou’s front office. Younger siblings of students currently enrolled in Bijou grades TK-4th get priority for TK and Kindergarten enrollment, but ONLY IF Bijou receives a commitment form from the family.
A total of three Kindergarten TWBI classes and 2 TK classes (1 TWBI and 1 English Mainstream) are projected for the 2026-2027 school year.
The school asks current Bijou parents talk to friends and family who will have TK or kindergarteners this coming fall about the Bijou TWBI program. They would appreciate your encouraging them to visit and complete the commitment form if they are interested in participating in the enrollment lottery.
