About ReadingPals
ReadingPals is a volunteer-powered program under the Marcella Foundation that pairs caring adults with local children to foster a love of reading. Each “pal” offers one-on-one mentoring and encouragement during reading sessions, creating positive, engaging experiences that help kids build confidence and literacy skills. We’re currently piloting this program at Tahoe Valley Elementary School starting this month! We’re so excited about all the interest in ReadingPals—while volunteer applications are currently closed, keep an eye out for new opportunities this summer.
