SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Did you know that you can get your 2025 taxes done for free right here in South Lake Tahoe? AARP Tax-Aide of South Lake Tahoe will once again be providing free tax preparation for California and Nevada taxpayers of all ages (NOT just seniors!). All tax preparers are annually certified by the IRS.
Pick up an information packet inside the front door of the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center at 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd. The free tax service will be offered at this location on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. February 9 – April 13. No appointments are available, and people are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bring the following items with you to the Recreation Center for your tax preparation
meeting:
- Photo ID (for all adults)
- Social Security Card or ITIN
- Checking Account digital information for refunds
- ALL 2025 tax-related documents (if you have electronic documents, you must
either provide a hard copy OR take a screenshot and have it available on your
phone.) - 2024 tax return
- Completed Intake/Interview form from the Information packet (optional)
