SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe (BGCLT) has announced that Luna Lending has fulfilled its $25,000 pledge to the Building Bright Futures Campaign, helping make the Angel of Tahoe Clubhouse a reality.

“Aaron Hinson at Luna Lending has been a huge support for our Tahoe youth, and his donation supported the construction of the Angel of Tahoe Clubhouse,” said Aimi Xistra, director of development at the Club. “In addition to the Building Bright Futures pledge, he has also sponsored events like the Golf Classic and Tahoe Brewfest. His commitment to Club growth has enabled BGCLT to serve more kids with afterschool programs and unique experiences.”

In 2020, amid a worldwide pandemic, the Club committed to raising more than $7 million to construct a new, much-needed Clubhouse. This would become the heart of BGCLT, finally solidifying a true home. The building was named the Angel of Tahoe Clubhouse to honor the late Lisa Maloff, a huge supporter of Tahoe youth who donated $3 million to the project. The community came together to fund this project, and the Clubhouse opened to children in the spring of 2022. Since then, the BGCLT program has doubled in size, adding two additional school sites, creating four after-school locations, and now serves over 400 kids daily.

Thanks to partners like Luna Lending, the Club continues to provide safe, supportive, and inspiring spaces for local youth to learn, grow, and prosper.
