The third annual Wine and Chocolate Bonspiel will run February 8-9, 2025, at Lake Tahoe Epic Curling Club in Stateline, Nev.

Curling is an Olympic sport that is a game of strategy, finesse, and strength, contested by teams in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target called the House. As the stone makes its way down the icy path, teammates use their brooms to strategically reduce friction on the ice to control the speed and trajectory of the stone.  This age-old sport has been available in South Lake Tahoe since January 2013.  Originally run out of the South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena, they now operate a two-sheet, year-round club that offers dedicated curling ice since 2019 in Stateline, NV.

This Doubles Contest runs from Friday to Sunday at the Lake Tahoe Epic Curling club.  This weekend’s event will feature 12 teams locally and from around the country competing for the top prize.  The local team of Eric and Edie Hazard will return to defend their crown.

All are welcome to come, watch, and cheer on your favorite doubles team.   Curling starts early Saturday with a three-game guarantee for players. The finale will be held on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
