Tahoe Women’s Community Fund to give out $110,000 in grants

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Tahoe Women’s Community Fund (TWCF) has $110,000 to donate back into the community nonprofits, and applications are now being accepted by those serving the South Shore.

This is the tenth year TWCF has money to give due to financial contributions from its 242 members and 11 sponsors. Members voted on the areas of need for grants:

Poverty, housing and basic needs – $40,000 with up to $10,000 per grant

Education – $30,000 with grants up to $10,000 each

Well Being: Mental and Physical – $20,000 with grants up to $10,000 each

Environment and Animals – $10,000 with grants up to $10,000 each

Community Arts & Culture – $10,000 with grants up to $10,000 each

Click here to access the application portal and for more information.  Applications are due no later than March 6, 2025. Nonprofits serving the South Shore of Lake Tahoe (both CA and NV sides) are eligible to apply so long as the projects/programs proposed in the application DIRECTLY serve the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. 

Those being awarded the grants will be celebrated at a Grants Gala on May 21 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to accept their grant funds.
