I80 – Is closed to all tractor-semitrailer combinations from Applegate (Placer Co) to the Nevada State Line – Due to snow & traction concerns. For Eastbound Traffic: Chains are required on all vehicles except 4-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all 4 wheels from 3.4 mi east of Gold Run (Placer Co) to the Nevada State Line. For Westbound Traffic: Chains are required on all vehicles except 4-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all 4 wheels from the Nevada State Line to Colfax (Placer Co).
SR88 – Is closed from Dew Drop (Amador Co) to 5 mi west of Picketts Jct (Alpine Co) – Due to snow – Motorists are advised to use an alternate route. Chains are required on all vehicles except 4-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all 4 wheels on all other roads from 9 mi east of Pine Grove (Amador Co) to 3.5 mi east of Woodfords (Alpine Co).
SR89 – Is closed at the Alpine/El Dorado Co Line. Is closed at Emerald Bay State Park (El Dorado Co) due to snow – Motorists are advised to use an alternate route. Chains are required on all vehicles except 4-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all 4 wheels from 5 mi north of the Jct of US 50 to Bliss State Park (El Dorado Co) and from Bliss State Park (El Dorado Co) to Olympic Valley (Placer Co).
SR28 – Chains are required on all vehicles except 4-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all 4 wheels from Tahoe City to the Nevada State Line
