There are two Soroptimist International clubs serving South Lake Tahoe and the surrounding community and they recently came together to celebrate 100 years of global volunteering that improves the lives of women and girls.
Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe invited members of Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra to join them for lunch recently when they hosted Lane Parks, Governor of the Sierra Nevada Region. Parks outlined the three signature programs that Soroptimist supports: education and training for girls, career support for girls and women and programs to end violence against women.
