SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The next meeting of the South Lake Tahoe City Council will be on Tuesday, February 25 at 5:30 p.m. It will be held in Council Chambers at the Lake Tahoe Airport.

On the agenda:

The council will hold a public hearing on proposed updates to the 2024-2025 Master Fee Schedule which has incorporated adjustments due to rising costs, reflects continuing efforts to promote full cost recovery for certain fees, incorporates market comparisons, and adds new fees adopted by City Council over the past year.

There are no increases to fees in the parks and recreation realm except for the seasonal fee for flag football and basketball league which go up $15.

Another agenda item is “Pay for Success” agreements with the Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless and Live Violence Free in an amount not to exceed $40,000 for
each agency through the end of the year. These funds will help the agencies to bridge the gap in funding for operational costs as most grant funds they receive do not cover funds to run their organizations.

The council will also vote on the purchase of land from BMO Bank to be used to expand the fire station at the Y. The land is inbetween the bank and the current station. The purchase price for the 66,253 sq feet of vacant land is $940,000. Funds for the project are from Measure S and already sit in the capital approvement project fund balance for the fire department.

Council will hear an update on the annual road rehabilitation program and drainage replacement project.
