SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Tahoe Alliance for Safe Kids (TASK) has brought a social-emotional learning program to all four South Lake Tahoe elementary schools. Find out what your kids will be learning and how these skills are important at a free parents’ night on Wednesday, February 25, from 5:15 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Learn about Soul Shoppe and how they work with students to build and practice coping skills. The Soul Shoppe facilitator is at local schools this week, and this is a great opportunity to learn about what they are experiencing and the tools available for parents and students outside of the school day.
From 5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be a free dinner thanks to MacDuff’s, then from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. is a session for parents and guardians while the kids do special activities as they move around stations provided by local organizations.
Come learn the skills your students are building.
To get an idea of how many will be attending, RSVP here so that they can gather numbers for food, though registration is not required.
Thank you to the Pay it Forward Project for providing funding for the evening.
