SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Temperatures will warm to well above normal Tuesday and Wednesday before a modest Pacific storm brings increased breezes along with light rain and snow showers Thursday and Thursday night. A colder
storm is possible late Friday into Saturday with the potential for snow showers. Below-average temperatures with additional slider-type systems could continue into next week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.
The storm midweek will bring a bit of valley rain and mountain snow for the Sierra, northeast California, and western Nevada. Snow levels will be higher than the past systems, so there will be rain and a mix of rain/snow around Lake Tahoe.

Monday – Sunny, with a high near 54. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph.
Monday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 26. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph.
Tuesday – Partly sunny, with a high near 57. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph.
Tuesday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Southwest wind around 5 mph.
Wednesday – Partly sunny, with a high near 55. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday Night – A slight chance of rain between 10 pm and 1 am, then a chance of rain and snow. Snow level 7500 feet lowering to 6900 feet after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half-inch possible.
Thursday – A chance of rain and snow before 7 am, then a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 44.
