Nevada’s non-restricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,439,329,029 for the month of January 2025, a gain of 12.54 percent over the same period in 2024. The South Shore Lake Tahoe casino’s win was also on the up-side, gaining 22.37 percent over the same period with their gaming revenue of $22,280,750, according to the State’s monthly gaming revenue report. The South Shore gain was the second highest in the state for the month.
A strong showing on the Las Vegas Strip helped give the state the gain. Revenues at casinos on the strip were up 22.45 percent over last year, or a gain of $154.018,658.
North Lake Tahoe casinos saw a 11.18 percent loss in the “win” with their reported $1,991,671.
The “gaming win” represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.
Carson City and the Carson Valley’s win was $11,158,957, up 7.39 percent from January 2024q.
Meanwhile, casinos in Reno, Sparks, and other areas of Washoe County also saw gaming-related revenue in the positive, with Sparks up 3.25 percent, Reno, 2.53 percent, and the county as a whole, 2.73 percent.
The Stateline casino “win” included $5,941,000 from table games and $16,339,000 from slots.
The State has collected $688,593,552 in percentage fees to date for the fiscal year which began July 1.
