SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Temperatures will warm to start the work week with gusty winds in higher elevations of the Sierra tonight into Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno. A quick-moving weather slider system will bring breezy winds, a low chance for rain and snow showers, and a cool down Wednesday afternoon and Thursday. The weekend looks warm and dry with the potential to shift to a more active weather pattern next week.

Monday – Sunny, with a high near 44. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 17. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light southeast after midnight.

Tuesday – Sunny, with a high near 51. Calm wind.

Tuesday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 21. Calm wind.

Wednesday – Sunny, with a high near 50. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the morning.

Wednesday Night – A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 9. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph after midnight.
