SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The South Lake Tahoe City Council is holding a facilitated discussion on Tuesday, March 17 to develop the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan. The discussion will provide direction on City policies,, goals, and action items to be worked on over the next five years.

The council will use data from a review of the City’s financial landscape, fiscal challenges, demographic and economic trends, and organizational and community perspectives with a SWOT analysis to create their plan.

The public can observe from council chambers as staff and the council work through the process.

Two years ago the City Council had five strategic priorities for 2023-2028

  • Built Environment
  • Recreation and Equitable Access
  • Community for All
  • Economic Development
  • Core Services & High-Performing Government

The strategic priorities and actions will need to be compatible with the City’s General Plan and the Capital Improvement Plan.
