SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The 22nd annual Snowshoe Thompson Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 19 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lake Tahoe Histtraory Museum Complex in South Lake Tahoe.
The family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
The schedule:
Chautauqua performance by David Woodruff as Snowshoe Thompson and Gayle Woodruff as Agnes Thompson.
Nordic Folk Dancing – A demonstration of traditional Norweigan folk dances by the Sacramento Area Nordic Dancers with audience participation.
Longboard Ski Enthusiast – Adam Henriques, a 2023 World Champion Longboard Ski Racer and Meyers resident will be on hand to talk about his handmade longboard skis and racing history.
Visit the tables of Friends of Snowshoe Thompson, El Dorado County Historical Museum, and the Mormon Station Historic State Park.
There will be raffles, cookies, coffee, and hot chocolate for a donation. The museum will be open following the presentations.
