MINDEN, Nev. – The current Douglas County Interim Library Director Julia Brown tendered her resignation to the Douglas County Library Board on March 17, 2022. Julia was appointed by the Library Board of Trustees as the Interim Director on July 27, 2021.
“Julia has been a highly valued staff member during her years as Library Supervisor and, more recently, in the dual role of Supervisor and Interim Library Director,” said Heather Martin Maier, Douglas County Library Board chairwoman. “She will be sorely missed; however, we wish her well in her future endeavors. We are very grateful for the generous notice she provided which will allow us to make a smooth transition as we reach the final stages of our current Library Director search.”
The Douglas County Library Board is actively recruiting for the position of Library Board Director and in the interim will be working with the Library staff to provide support.
