SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – More than ever, people are called to join forces and stand up against anything that aims to disempower or belittle them. especially women. Together, if women believe they can create change and resist oppression, they will do just that.

Join the community as they rally together on Sunday, March 30, at 10 a.m. at Lakeview Commons in South Lake Tahoe. Organizers want participants to unite with collective power.

Come stand beside and be inspired by powerful and brilliant local Tahoe women leaders as they share their stories, resources, and restore a sense of HOPE in UNITY.

The gathering at Lakeview Commons will include some words of wisdom, protest chants, and to spread awareness. People are encouraged to bring signs, and “Bring your voice, Bring your friends, Bring your courage.”

Live Violence Free (LVF) wants the public to help them keep Women’s History Month intersectional. What does this mean? To honor, respect, protect, empower, and celebrate all women regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ability status. The success of this movement is entirely dependent on solidarity and humility.

“Let’s gather to learn and understand the challenges that disproportionately affect certain groups of women, by actively and selflessly hearing from them directly. We are all connected, and what affects one group has the potential to affect ALL,” LVF said on social media.
