SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. –  The City of South Lake Tahoe is hosting the final Open House for the Mid-Town Area Plan on Tuesday, April 8, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center.

Participants will have a chance to view the plan contents and provide final comments before the next steps, which include discussion and direction by the Planning Commission and City Council.

Notable locations within the plan’s boundary include Lakeview Commons, El Dorado Beach, Bijou Park and Golf Course, Campground by the Lake, the City’s recreation and swim complex, and Lake Tahoe Community College

The goal of this plan is to foster a more defined sense of place in central South Lake Tahoe to facilitate ease and pleasure of residents going about their daily lives and give visitors a glimpse of the rich community and culture of South Lake Tahoe’s current and past residents. The Mid-Town Area Plan will leverage the adopted 56-acre master plan and existing infrastructure at Lakeview Commons and Harrison Avenue to further transform Mid-Town into a recreation, arts, and community hub.
