SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – At a time when retail stores are closing around the country, South Lake Tahoe is preparing to welcome four new retail stores in the next several weeks.

Target will be opening in the old Raley’s store at Stateline on Sunday, April 13. The South Lake Tahoe store will be one of three Target stores opening on the same day. The other two are in Texas and Arizona, and both are more than 145,000 square feet in size. The Tahoe store will be 64,000 square feet and will offer groceries, essentials, and on-trend items with Target’s top owned and national brands, including a Starbucks Café.

The store is expected to employ more than 100 team members.

Store hours are Sunday – Saturday: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Customers can also shop on their own terms with Target’s convenient and free Drive Up and Order Pickup, ready within a couple of hours with no membership required for an easy retail shopping experience.

For those seeking jobs, Target offers seasonal roles and long-term careers with tuition-free education assistance.

They also offer Target’s culture of care into the communities they serve to support local needs, investing more than 200,000 hours of community service and more than $92 million in product and cash donations last year in Arizona, California, and Texas.

The store is located at 4000 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe.

After Target, three of the new businesses opening in South Lake Tahoe are Ulta, Five-Below, and Sierra (formerly Sierra Trading Post).
