SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – This season, winter never brought the big snowstorms needed to keep ski resorts open into the spring. The latest resorts to announce they are closing early are Vail Resorts’ Heavenly and Northstar.
This week’s storm brought 8″ to Heavenly, not enough to keep the slopes open for an extra week. While the resort will close, the sightseeing gondola will close on April 19.
Help Heavenly close out its 70th anniversary season and enjoy some sunshine, blue skies, and après vibes all weekend. On closing day, they’ll reminisce and celebrate with a free champagne toast at Rockstar Bar at 4 p.m.
Northstar will also be closing this Sunday.
Kirkwood received 18 inches of new snow, and they are staying open through April 19th.
