SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Heavenly Village was filled with energy, excitement, and smiling faces this weekend as the 2026 Heavenly Village Easter Egg Hunt delivered a day of fun to a sold-out, record-breaking turnout.

With the event sold out well in advance, the event welcomed families and visitors from across California and Nevada, transforming Heavenly Village into a vibrant hub of activity throughout the weekend.

Notably, despite a lighter snow year across the Sierra, the event’s momentum was not only unaffected but also amplified. Favorable spring conditions drove increased visitation, with families traveling from throughout the region to take part in the festivities. The event shows that Heavenly Village’s year-round appeal continues to strengthen, despite seasonal variability.

The Easter Egg Hunt featured thousands of cash, candy and prize-filled eggs, creating an unforgettable experience for children of all ages. Families enjoyed a full day of interactive entertainment, live energy throughout the Village, and a festive atmosphere that extended well beyond the hunt itself.

“This year’s turnout and overall experience exceeded expectations in every way,” said Dreu Murin, event producer. “Even with a lighter snow season, we saw incredible demand and strong regional draw. It’s a testament to the strength of the event and the Village as Lake Tahoe’s number one destination.”

Adding to the success, Fire & Ice Restaurant hosted an Easter Bunny Brunch, allowing patrons to dine with the Easter Bunny before the egg hunt and other activities began.

Throughout the weekend, a carnival featuring rides, games, and attractions kept visitors engaged and on-site for extended periods, creating a multi-day experience that significantly increased foot traffic and economic activity for Heavenly Village tenants.

“This is exactly what Heavenly Village is built for,” added Gary Casteel, president and CEO of the Shops at Heavenly Village / Trans Sierra Investments. “Creating experiences that bring the community together, drive tourism, and support our local businesses in a meaningful way no matter the conditions.”
