SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Step Into the Wonderland of Giving at the 2026 Mad Hatter Fundraiser! Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra invites the community to tumble down the rabbit hole for a wonderful cause at the 2026 Mad Hatter fundraiser, featuring a trio of exciting events designed to support local women and youth.
The festivities culminate on Sunday, May 17, with the Mad Hatter Tea Party from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., where winners will be drawn for the highly anticipated Vacation Stay Raffle. The Mad Hatter Silent Auction, which opens on the day of the tea and runs through May 29, has something for everyone. All proceeds from these whimsical events directly fund programs that empower and uplift local women and youth.
The Mad Hatter Vacation Stay Raffle offers two incredible opportunities for an island escape or a global adventure. Supporters can purchase tickets for a chance to win a week-long stay at a beautiful two-bedroom condo in Maui or opt for a second raffle featuring an “Anywhere in the World” timeshare stay. With only 200 tickets sold for each vacation package, the odds of winning are excellent. The magic continues with the Mad Hatter Auction, starting Sunday, May 17. Bidders can discover a wonderland of treasures, including local restaurant certificates, personal care services, handmade jewelry, and unique experiences. The digital auction remains open until 8 p.m. on May 29, ensuring plenty of time to find something special while supporting a vital cause.
The highlight of the season is the Mad Hatter Tea Party, a festively decorated celebration filled with tea service, a delicious meal, and refreshing mimosas. Attendees are encouraged to don their most festive outfits and enjoy an afternoon of games, photo booths, and gift basket raffles.
