SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – This week, the Lake Tahoe Documentary Film Festival is bringing the art of documentary filmmaking directly into South Lake Tahoe schools, with Tahoe Arts Project (TAP) as a proud partner and supporter.

This program reflects a shared commitment to providing meaningful arts and cultural experiences in local classrooms. With elementary and middle school programs running Monday through Thursday, and two high school programs on Friday (featuring three visiting filmmakers for post-screening Q&As), the initiative is reaching hundreds of students and creating space for creativity, curiosity, and connection.

The film festival continues this weekend with programming for the wider community, including two free screenings, a Local Spotlight film block on Saturday, 4/18, and a feature Impact Spotlight Screening of Paradise Paradox, which highlights mental health in mountain towns, on Sunday, 4/19. You can RSVP for the free community screenings or find tickets and passes for the other 70+ films and events at www.ltdff.org.
