SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – A dry and warm start to the week ahead in South Lake Tahoe with daily highs above normal under mostly sunny skies, with westerly afternoon breezes persisting each day. Tuesday could bring a secondary uptick in winds.

By Thursday and into the weekend, a broad upper trough will develop over northern California, ushering in cooler temperatures and a rising chance for showers across the Sierra and western Nevada. There is even a chance for upper elevation snow as the shift goes to cooler and potentially wetter weather, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.
