SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The 33rd annual Soroptimist Elegant Evening will be held virtually again this year on Friday, April 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The evening’s show is full of entertainment including musical performances by Jakota Wass, Annie Davidson, and Martin Shears.
The evening will also include a special appearance by the Guilty Christmas performers, interviews, skits from groups sponsored by the Soroptimist club, and “commercials” of items found on the auction site.
South Lake Tahoe resident Teruyo “Terry” Kimura Kunibe was born shortly after Soroptimist International was founded in Alameda, California on October 3, 1921. Terry was born on October 7, 1921, not too far away in the town of Perkins. Terry is also a member of the Soroptimist Club of Tahoe Sierra, your host for the evening, and she will be honored with a club-created skit during the show.
Log onto the event website HERE and enjoy the free 90-minute show. There are also fabulous silent auction items to big on until it closes at 8:00 p.m. Friday.
All money raised goes back into the community to help women and children through scholarships, grants, school and nonprofit support, and many other ways. For more information on the club, visit https://sitahoesierra.org/. The Elegant Evening show can also be viewed there.
