DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. – A 24-year-old Gardnerville man died in a single car crash on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
At approximately 3:11 p.m., troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) responded to a call of a fatal crash involving a single vehicle on SR-88 at Douglas County Mile 2 in Gardnerville.
Preliminary investigation shows that a red 2001 Subaru Forester was traveling northbound on SR-88 approaching Douglas County Mile Marker 2. The Subaru left the roadway to the right, overcorrected, and traveled across both north and southbound lanes before exiting to the southbound dirt shoulder. The right side of the vehicle struck a utility pole.
The unrestrained driver has been identified as Justin Adams. He was the sole occupant and pronounced deceased on scene.
This crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command West Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.) – NHP Case #210401418.
