UPDATE 6:45: Forward progress has been stopped on the fire. A hand line is completed around the fire. USFS will be on scene overnight with support from CALFIRE.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Multiple resources have responded to a small fire burning on both sides of Trout Creek off of Pioneer Trail near Jicarilla. As of 4:30 p.m., the fire has burned about 1.5 acres. Crews are working on getting a fire line around the fire at this time.
USFS Fire, Lake Valley Fire Protection District, CalFire, and South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue are all on the scene. Helicopter support has been requested.
The fire was called in at 3:30 p.m. At this time, no cause has been determined.
