SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – With one week left in April, many of us are dreaming of gardening and putting away the snow shovels – but you may want to wait a couple of days for that.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Lake Tahoe Basin from 5 p.m. to 11 a.m. Suday. Expect snow, with accumulations of 3 to 6 inches above 7000 feet, up to 10 inches along the highest peaks, and 1 to 3 inches at lake level. They’re calling for ridge winds with gusts up to 60 mph.
By Monday, the highs will be in the mid-50s, and the low 60s by Tuesday.

A slight chance of rain and snow showers before 11am, then rain showers likely. Some thunder is also possible. Snow level 7000 feet. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
