
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The most recent late season winter storm didn’t pan out to what forecasters expected. Some travel impacts remain possible over the Sierra, especially in areas where heavier shower bands set up into Monday and possibly early Tuesday. The rest of the upcoming week will be dry with a significant warming trend later in the week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.
The South Lake Tahoe weekly forecast from NWS Reno:
Monday – A 30 percent chance of snow showers, mainly after 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 42. West wind 10 to 15 mph. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Monday Night – A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 24. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.
Tuesday – Sunny, with a high near 53. Northeast wind 5 to 15 mph.
Tuesday Night – Clear, with a low around 28. East wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday – Sunny, with a high near 64. East wind around 5 mph.
Wednesday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 30.
Thursday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 72.
Thursday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 38.
Friday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
Friday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40.
Saturday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 66.
Saturday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 34.
