SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Heavenly Village will be the place to be on Monday, May 5 as they hold their annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. This free, family-friendly event will transform the Village into a lively celebration of Mexican culture, community spirit and springtime fun.

Event highlights include:

  • Live Music by The David Perez Band – Northern California’s premier Latin ensemble brings their high-energy sound, dynamic stage presence, and authentic rhythms to the Heavenly Village stage.
  • Live DJ at Azul Latin Kitchen – Enjoy Latin beats from DJ Baraaz on the patio at Azul.
  • Authentic Mexican Food – Enjoy discounted tacos and more from top participating restaurants.
  • Photo Op with “Jose” the Heavenly Village Donkey – Don’t miss a chance to meet and snap a festive photo with Jose, the official Heavenly Village donkey, who will be decked out in full Cinco de Mayo flair. 
  • Margarita’s – Adults 21+ can explore a selection of handcrafted margaritas and top-shelf tequilas from participating restaurants. 
  • Cultural Dance Performances – Folklorico and contemporary Latin dancers will celebrate tradition through movement and music.
  • Face Painting – Fun interactive face painting for young guests.

“This event is a true community celebration,” said Dreu Murin, event producer and spokesperson for Heavenly Village. “From the food and music to the family activities and cultural performances, Cinco de Mayo at the Village brings people together in a way only the Heavenly Village can.

Early arrival is strongly encouraged, as parking is limited and attendance is expected to be high. Guests are invited to dress festively and enjoy a full evening of music, food, and celebration.
