Dear South Tahoe Now, We are writing to share our deepest gratitude to Wendy, Debbie, Krysta, Sky, and the entire Tahoe PAWS team for their incredible dedication and selflessness in helping us bring our beloved dog, Zephyr, home after 10 long days lost in the wilderness.

Wendy worked side by side with us—tirelessly, day and night—offering her time, experience, and personal resources to track, monitor, and ultimately rescue Zephyr. Her calm presence, deep knowledge of animal behavior, and unwavering commitment gave us hope when we were losing it. Because of her and the team’s efforts, our family is whole again.

Tahoe PAWS is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization that plays a critical role in reuniting lost animals with their families. They receive no public funding, and often volunteers use their own money to purchase essential tools like traps, trail cameras, and food. These resources are costly, wear down quickly, and are always in short supply.

We hope the South Lake Tahoe community will recognize the incredible value of Tahoe PAWS and the devoted volunteers behind it. If you’re in a position to help, please consider donating—every dollar goes directly toward saving lives and reuniting families.

From the bottom of our hearts—thank you, Wendy and Tahoe PAWS. You’re our heroes.

With deepest appreciation,

Eryn, Steve, Wyatt, and Vivienne Lovingier
