SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The South Lake Tahoe office of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) is holding an evening Coffee With A Cop on Friday, May 8, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Freel Perk in Meyers.

Most of the coffee events are in the morning, and many asked CHP if they could move to evenings and weekends, so they did. All of the scheduled Coffee With A Cop events this season will be on Saturdays or in the evening.

Stop by and join them for great conversation and great coffee.

Freel Perk is located at 3141 US-50.

Coffee with a Cop is a national community policing program designed to break down barriers between law enforcement and citizens through informal, one-on-one conversations in casual settings, such as local coffee shops. Launched in 2011 in Hawthorne, California, it aims to build trust, foster relationships, and allow residents to discuss community issues, ask questions, and get to know officers outside of crises.
