SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – If you’ve got a son and you’re around Tahoe this weekend, this is one of those nights you’ll be really glad you said yes to.

The Mother–Son Spring Fling Dance is back for its third year, happening this Saturday at the new South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center — and it’s become one of those annual moments that families look forward to.

This isn’t just another event. It’s one night a year where moms and their sons get to show up, let loose, and just spend time together — no distractions, no schedule, no “what’s next.”

And that’s what makes it special.

The music’s on, the energy’s high, Alex Ramon will be there, and the kids are all in. Somewhere in the middle of it, it turns into one of those nights they’ll remember longer than you expect.

And yeah — it’s fun.

Not in a forced way. Not in a “we have to do this” way.

It’s a room full of people who all showed up for the same reason, and it just works. Moms get pulled onto the dance floor, kids get to be themselves, and the whole thing has a really good vibe, start to finish.

The fact that this lands on Mother’s Day weekend makes it even better.

It’s not just another plan — it’s a really good way to celebrate, without overthinking it.

My wife organizes this event—so yes, I care about it.

But also — I’ve seen what goes into it, and why people come back every year. It’s done right, and it shows.
