ZEPHYR COVE, Nev. — Adventure Coffee Company, a new premium coffeehouse and community gathering space inspired by the spirit of adventure and the Lake Tahoe lifestyle, will officially soft open to the public on May 10, 2026, at 605 Highway 50 in Zephyr Cove, Nevada, in the former Toast restaurant location.
Founded by husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Stan and Heidi Spry, Adventure Coffee Company was created to bring together elevated coffee, mountain comfort, creativity, and community in one welcoming destination just minutes from the lake, hiking trails, campgrounds, skiing, and outdoor recreation that Tahoe is known for.
The newly renovated 3,000+ square-foot space features a warm mountain-modern aesthetic with comfortable lounge seating, a fireplace, patio space, wifi access, and an atmosphere designed for locals and visitors alike to relax, connect, work remotely, read a book, or recharge after a day exploring Tahoe.
“We wanted to create a place where people could slow down, connect, and enjoy everything that makes Tahoe special,” said co-founder Stan Spry. “Adventure Coffee Company is really about community, creativity, comfort, and the adventurous spirit that defines this area and the way we try to live our lives.”
Adventure Coffee Company will serve premium beans from San Diego-based James Coffee Company, founded by David and Carina Kennedy. David Kennedy is also known as the guitarist for Angels & Airwaves and Box Car Racer. The shop will offer specialty coffee and tea drinks, small bites, baked goods, merchandise, and apparel.
Minority partners in the company include musician, filmmaker, and entrepreneur Tom DeLonge — co-founder and frontman of blink-182 and Angels & Airwaves — along with David and Carina Kennedy, Jeff Holland, and Lukasz Madzik.
While the ownership group includes notable names from the music and entertainment worlds, the founders emphasize that Adventure Coffee Company is first and foremost rooted in Tahoe and built for the local community.
“We live here. We love Tahoe, the people, the outdoors, and the lifestyle,” said co-founder Heidi Spry. “Our goal was to build a space that feels welcoming, relaxing, positive, and inspiring — somewhere people genuinely want to spend time.”
Stan Spry is the Co-Founder and CEO of Evoke Entertainment, where he has produced more than 200 films, television series, and television movies, including Creepshow for AMC, Day of the Dead for Syfy, Twelve Forever for Netflix, Monsters of California, and Christmas with the Campbells. Heidi Spry is a former television host, actress, entrepreneur, and former New England Patriots Cheerleader with a background in marketing and brand development.
Adventure Coffee Company plans to host future community events, gatherings, and private functions as the business continues to grow within the Tahoe community.
The shop will initially operate seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. A grand opening celebration is currently planned for early June 2026.
