EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. – The Board of Supervisors will hold its May 13 meeting in the South Lake Tahoe City Council Chambers at the airport starting at 9 a.m.

On the agenda:

The Planning and Building departments will give the supervisors a presentation on their major accomplishments in Fiscal Year 2024/2025 and key priorities for Fiscal Year 2025/2026, and if needed, the supervisors will provide direction to staff.

The Department of Transportation will present the US 50/ Latrobe Road/ El Dorado Hills Boulevard Interchange Improvements – Phase 2B. Staff is asking the supervisors to approve an addendum to the Environmental Impact Report.

The Department of Transportation will also give a snow removal update presentation. They will discuss the shortage of eight employees for the South Shore snow removal operations, and the fact that not all of their 10 allotted temporary positions each winter have been filled in over a decade (they had six this year). Transportation will start recruiting for extra help in June/July, with a desired
start date of the first week of November. Staff will secure snow rental houses
for Tahoma and South Lake Tahoe before September, and are looking at a
larger rental in SLT due to low staffing success in the Tahoe Basin.
