SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Tahoe Women’s Community Fund (TWCF) will host its annual Grants Gala on Wednesday, May 27, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the 4-H Camp in Stateline, Nev. The event is open to the public, with tickets priced at $40 and limited to 150 attendees.
The evening will feature drinks, appetizers, and desserts, along with presentations from 2025 grant recipients. Representatives from 32 local nonprofits will be in attendance, offering guests the opportunity to learn more about the organizations shaping the South Shore community.
Grant recipients were selected through a member voting process, with approximately 55 percent of TWCF’s 151 members participating. The results were highly competitive, with several categories decided by narrow margins.
This year’s gala marks a significant milestone for the organization. In its 11th year of collective giving, TWCF will distribute $142,500 in grants to 16 nonprofits. This total surpasses the original goal of $120,000 and brings its cumulative total of grant funding to over $1 million since its founding in 2015.
The expanded giving was made possible by the introduction of “Aspen Grants,” an additional $22,500 funded through TWCF’s endowment. The cabinet created the awards to recognize nonprofits that came close in member voting but narrowly missed out on standard grants, allowing three additional organizations to receive funding this cycle.
Membership forms for new members and renewals will be available at the event. TWCF encourages current members to bring guests, noting that a larger membership base enables greater grant funding in future years.
Tickets are on sale now at the discounted rate of $40, made possible by the organization’s operational sponsors. Attendees are asked to include the names of themselves and any guests when purchasing tickets online.
In addition to this month’s Grants Gala, Tahoe Women’s Community Fund will be hosting a Million Dollar Celebration this September to commemorate over one million dollars of collective giving in support of our community.
