SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The community turned out for the 6th annual Wildfire Safety Expo on Saturday at South Tahoe Middle School, hosted by South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue (SLTFR).

Activities and information filled the booths that lined the school’s parking lot which was also filled with first responder and agency vehicles.

As wildfire behavior progressively becomes more ferocious, learning how to live in a mountain town is important. This means everyone needs to be extra vigilant with preparedness.

Southwest Gas, Liberty Utilities, Tahoe PAWS, Al Tahoe Firewise, Zephyr Fire Crew, Lake Valley Fire, CalFire, Tahoe Resource Conservation District, California Highway Patrol, South Tahoe Refuse, El Dorado County Supervisor Brooke Laine, South Tahoe Public Utility District, and El Dorado County Search and Rescue were just some of those who joined SLTFR in the expo.
