SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – A warming trend begins for the region Monday, with fairly calm and dry weather. Much warmer weather will be featured as high pressure spreads not only through the Sierra Nevada, but for all western states.
Daytime highs for the Sierra and western Nevada jump ten degrees. A couple of weak low-pressure areas will quickly pass by the area at the end of the week.
Winds will be mostly light this week outside of typical afternoon breezes, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno. Increased winds are possible Wednesday-Friday with each trough passage. Odds are low of another “pesky spring storm on a weekend”
