SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The next meeting of the South Lake Tahoe City Council is on Tuesday, May 18, at 5:30 p.m.
Agenda Items:
Tahoe Bluefins Swim Club City Sponsorship – The team told the City they cannot pay the $18,750.96 for the pool and two lifeguards for a period of six months at the new pool. Their prior arrangement was much less, but was made without Council approval. Discussion will include a proposal to charge the team $10,407.96.
Amendment to Parking Agreement with Heavenly Mountain Resort – Two areas of concern have been found with the current agreement, and an amendment can address those. Residents of a complex at 1390 Ski Run Blvd. said parked vehicles
created a substantial visual obstruction when exiting their complex. The second safety concern arose from a heavy snow day, which led police to close Ski Run Blvd. and Keller Rd. due to dangerous road conditions. When the roadways are
not closed in these conditions, multiple vehicle collisions occur.
Before the Council is a request to allocate $80,000 in additional funding for incentive grants and continue the operation of the Long-Term Rental Incentive Program.
Closed session, which, if needed, is normally held just before a council meeting, begins at 8 a.m. The one item on that agenda is “Public Employment Appointment – Government Code section 54957(b) Title: City Manager.”
