SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Barton hosted its largest-ever Sports Physical Night this week, providing an estimated 270 middle and high school athletes with free physicals in preparation for the upcoming school year. The event was a shining example of community collaboration and support.
Jeremy Vandehurst, one of the event’s organizers, noted that “this could not have been done without the contributions of so many people, especially the help from Kevin Hennessee, Isaiah Tannaci, and the South Tahoe High School sports medicine students. Mr. Vandehust truly appreciates everything that went into making this a fantastic event.
STHS Athletic Director Kevin Hennesse went on to comment, “Thanks [Barton] for putting on an amazing event for our community. It went really smoothly, a huge thank you to all the health practitioners who volunteered their time. Barton for hosting, and all the volunteers who made it happen. It was truly a village last night. Something our community should be proud of. Thank you, everyone!!”
The South Tahoe community came together to ensure local youth had access to vital health services that support safe athletic participation. Plans are already in motion to bring the event back in 2026.
A special thanks to Barton staff members who made this event possible!
