MEYERS, Calif. – Community volunteers came together on a beautiful Saturday morning last weekend to help prepare Tahoe Paradise Park in Meyers for the summer season.

About 25 people including local residents, a California Conservation Corp work team, Lake Valley Fire, and park board members worked together on the annual effort to clean up the park after the long winter season. The volunteers raked the lawn areas of pine cones and needle debris, cleaned up the boat ramp cove, prepped the playground chip surfaces, set up play court nets and wind blocks, picked up trash, split firewood, and stacked it into cords for park fundraising.

Tahoe Paradise Park board member Tom Meyer reports that the park operates primarily from fund-raising and volunteerism, and remains a local model of a beautiful, shared resource maintained in significant part by the park’s local visitor community.

As part of the 2023 fundraising effort, park visitors can now purchase 12-month parking passes for $50, and 12-month pickleball and tennis court passes for $100. There is also an option to purchase a combined 12-month court/parking pass for $125. These passes can be purchased during park operating hours at the Park Host home, located across the drive from the clubhouse.

The park kicks off the summer Famer’s Market season this Wednesday afternoon from 3 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Music in the Park also returns this year, with the first music event scheduled for June 23.

Tahoe Paradise Park is located at 1011 E. San Bernardino Avenue in Meyers. It opens daily at 7:30 a.m. for the public to share and care for this special mountain, lake, and river playground. Everyone is welcome to enjoy.
