SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) held a reception Friday to honor the ten certified and eight classified employees who will be retiring this month. Family gathered with the retirees and administrators at Elements Eatery in South Lake Tahoe.

- Michael Patterson, Automotive Tech Teacher at STHS, 37 years
- Vickie Dant, 3rd Grade Teacher at Tahoe Valley -36 years
- Jiliene Frye, 4th Grade Teacher at Sierra House – 29 years
- Jesus Cortez-Acosta, 3rd Grade Teacher at Bijou – 29 years
- Karen Nighswonger, All High School Grades at Mt. Tallac – 29 years
- Socorro Sanchez, 2nd Grade Teacher at Bijou – 23.5 years
- Patricia Perazzo, SPED Teacher, Meyers and District – 20 years
- Karen Sullivan, Kindergarten at Sierra House – 20 years
- Timothy Martin, Automotive Tech CTE Instructor – 14 years
