EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. – The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office’s Office of Emergency Services (EDSO OES) will be hosting an educational Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, June 21, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Lake Tahoe Airport City Council Chambers, located at 1901 Lisa Maloff Way, South Lake Tahoe.
This educational session will provide the county’s east slope residents with important preparedness and safety information ahead of wildfire season. Topics covered will include:
Local wildfire risks and coordinated response strategies
Evacuation preparedness and planning resources

Home hardening techniques and defensible space guidance
Emergency communication tools and trusted information sources
Support resources available before, during, and after emergencies
Staff from EDSO OES, local fire agencies, and community partners will be available to answer questions and provide materials to help residents better prepare their households.
