UPDATE 9:35 PM: The Conner Fire in Douglas County has burned 13,901 acres. 489 personnel are working on the fire, which is burning in the Pine Nut Mountain Range eight miles southeast of Gardnerville. A Red Flag Warning is in place until midnight.

UPDATE 3:30 PM: Firefighters are actively engaged in suppression efforts on the Conner Fire. The fire is currently estimated at 2,000 acres and growing, especially with a Red Flag Warning in place until midnight. The is now being managed by a unified command with East Fork Fire Protection District and the BLM-Carson City District. The fire made a big leap when it grew beyond the 2020 Number Fire burn scar and into areas with more available unburned fuels. An Evacuation Order has been issued for Old Ranch Road north of Out-R-Way. Residents in this area should evacuate immediately and follow directions from emergency personnel. Additionally, a Precautionary Evacuation Warning has been issued for a portion of the Fish Springs area. Residents in the warning zone should prepare now for a potential evacuation, especially those with large animals, mobility needs, or other access and functional challenges.

UPDATE 12:00 PM: The Conner Fire burning near the Pine View Estates in Douglas County has grown to 2,000 acres. It continues to burn southeast of Gardnerville. A power outage has been reported along Pinenut Road to approximately 62 customers. Utility crews have been notified and are assessing the situation.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. – The Conner Fire continues to burn south of Gardnerville near Pine View Estates and has grown to approximately 200 acres. New evacuation orders have been issued for Pine Nut Road from Dump Road to Out R Way due to increased fire activity.

US-395 remains open, but the public is asked to stay out of the neighborhoods. Red Flag Warnings are in place for Western Nevada until midnight tonight.
