AARP Tax-Aide of South Lake Tahoe is a group of volunteers who have provided free tax preparation services to the local community for decades. In order to continue providing this service for the next tax season and beyond, we need to recruit a new instructor – an individual who is familiar with Federal and California tax laws. The primary responsibility of the volunteer instructor is to provide appropriately 24 hours of instruction to our group of tax counselors, leading them through pre-existing problems that focus on California tax laws, and new tax laws. Instruction takes place during December/January, but exact dates are flexible; the instructor’s responsibilities end before the start of tax season.
