SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – With some snow seen around Lake Tahoe on Saturday, especially at upper elevations, could more of it be in the forecast this week? Yes – at upper elevations Sunday night through Monday night. Even with a non-summer-like start to the week in South Lake Tahoe, the end is a sure reminder that summer is here.
Expect cooler than average temperatures with overall dry conditions through Tuesday though there is a slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the eastern Sierra from the Tahoe area southward through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.
Temperatures return to seasonal average by mid-week, then back to above average by the end of the week, just in time for the 4th of July holiday week.
