Peaches are summer’s love letter, golden, fragrant, and dripping with sunshine. When you see peaches in your Market Bag from Lake Tahoe Markets, you cannot help but smile! One bite and you’re instantly reminded why this fruit defines the season: that perfect sweet-tart balance, the floral perfume, the juice running down your wrist like a tiny reminder to slow down and savor.
Their fuzzy skins hide a sunset-colored flesh that softens with heat, making peaches just as magical on the grill as they are fresh from the fruit bowl. Slice them over yogurt, tuck them into a pie, whirl them into a frosty smoothie, or eat them standing over the sink. There’s no wrong way to enjoy a peach in its prime.
More than any other fruit, peaches feel like summer. They’re fleeting, fragrant, and best enjoyed at their peak, when warm days and cool nights coax out that unmistakable flavor. When peaches arrive, you know the season has truly begun.
Fresh peaches bring a sunny sweetness to summer salsa with crisp peppers, a little heat from jalapeño, and a squeeze of lime that wakes everything up. It’s the kind of salsa that feels both refreshing and indulgent, perfect spooned over grilled chicken or fish, piled onto tacos, or simply scooped up with salty tortilla chips. When peaches are at their peak, this salsa becomes a celebration of the season’s best flavors.
