LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Lake Tahoe local Jarod Minghini made it to the final table of the main event at the 56th annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

The final nine players in the main event are all guaranteed a minimum of $1,000,000, with the winner receiving $10,000,000. Minghini, the owner of Tahoe Wakebusters, survived the tournament play over the last 10 days, a competition that saw 9,735 participants.

The final table started at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Minghini finished in eighth place, with a prize of $1,250,000. At the publishing of this story, the final table has five people remaining.
