The South Lake Tahoe Fire Department received a Technology Innovation Award by iPCR, the Electronic Patient Care Reporting System for Fire and Ambulance Services, at Tuesday’s City Council meeting.

This award has only been given to five agencies in 20 years. It is for the “2013 Technology Innovation Award” and was given to SLTFD to recognize the exemplary work in implementing a technologically advanced patient care system that is fully electronic.

Dion Nugent, CEO of iPCR, presented the award to South Lake Tahoe Fire Department Chief Bruce Martin. “This award goes to our entire paramedic crew and specifically to Engineer/Paramedic Kim George and Firefighter /Paramedic Sophie Tetlow for their subject matter expertise in patient care reports,” said Chief Martin.

iPCR Electronic Patient Care Reporting (PCR) platform operates on iPad devices and interfaces with Windows and Mac based computers. Records can be created and transferred quickly via iPCR’s one-touch feature.
