EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. – The El Dorado County Department of Transportation is currently installing a new roundabout at the intersection of US50 and Pioneer Trail in Meyers. This will frame the downtown Meyers area with the other roundabout already in place at US50 and SR89, and many have expressed a desire to have art placed inside both.
El Dorado County Supervisor Brooke Laine and Arts and Culture El Dorado have published a survey for the District V residents to provide input on public art on the two roundabouts in Meyers.
Laine and the arts group said these artworks will act as iconic entry points, celebrating the region’s history, environment, culture and unique spirit of South Shore. It will be privately funded and based on the success of a dedicated fundraising effort.
Tell them what you want to see: themes, local symbols, and more. Your ideas will help shape the ‘Call to Artists’ and the final designs.
